Self Aligning Ball Bearings

Self-aligning ball bearings are double row with inner ring raceways similar to a double row deep grove ball bearing whereas the outer ring features a common spherical raceway. The centre of the spherical curvature coincides with the bearing centre and therefore, are internally self aligning.

These bearings are suitable for applications where the shaft relative to the housing bore is prone to angular misalignment. Under normal loads, depending on the dimensional series, the maximum permissible angular misalignment is approximately 2 to 4 degrees.
